As of February 7th, 2022, FMCSA mandates that all drivers applying for their CDL, upgrading their CDL, or obtaining a Passenger (P), HAZMAT (H), or School Bus (S) endorsement are trained in accordance with 49CFR Part 380. Which program is right for you?

The Class A license is required when operating a vehicle that has a Gross Combination Weight Rating (GCWR) of 26,001 pounds or more, and the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of the towed unit (trailer) is 10,001 pounds or more.
This program is for drivers who currently hold a Class B CDL and would like to upgrade to a Class A CDL. This may be a requirement of a new career opportunity, or if you’re simply looking to broaden your skills.
The Class B license is required when operating a vehicle that has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 26,001 pounds or more. A trailer may be towed if the GVWR of the towed unit is 10,000 pounds or less.
The P Endorsement is required when operating a vehicle that is designed to carry 16 passengers or more including the driver.
The H Endorsement is required when transporting freight that is considered to be Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT). HAZMAT includes Hazardous Waste, Marine Pollutants, Elevated Temperature Material, Materials defined in sections 172.101 and 173 of the 49CFR.
